Hello!

I have been a digital designer for almost 15 years, and have been lucky enough to work with incredible organisations and people.

My career began at digital agency, Zone (now owned by Cognizant) where I was part of the “pro-social” team working predominantly with charities such as RSPB, Nike Foundation, Prostate Cancer UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. I also designed for corporates such as Tesco, Coca Cola, Dr. Pepper.

Interested in the entire design life cycle, at Zone I was able to spend equal amounts of time developing skills from user research to visual design. After Zone, I moved in-house to Blood Cancer UK, where my experience working with health charities - and specifically cancer charities - was put to good use.

I then moved to health-focused start-up, Mindwave Ventures Ltd, where I became both their creative director and client services lead. The dual role felt natural, as my teams (design and client services) were each focused on user experience, either of a digital product or that of our clients’ experience working with us.

In my six years at Mindwave, I became an expert in digital health, working with the NHS, health charities (such as MSI Reproductive Choices and Brook), digital health start-ups (such as Thalamos), and clinical academics from universities across the UK. As well as leading two teams and designing digital health services, I lectured for a digital health masters course, was published in the Guardian’s Digital Health special, and advised on strategy and product design for dozens of organisations.

Upon leaving Mindwave, clients I had worked with there reached out to me, keen to continue our working relationship, and thus, my freelance career began. I launched my limited company and have since worked with start-ups and large corporations across various industries.

My time in digital health working closely with patients and clinicians has entrenched in me the need to always advocate for the end-user and I continue to bring this into my work today, regardless of the size and shape of the project.
